Oh my, where do I start?

Sun Night:
Grilled skirt steak with potatoes on the side was a tasty way to start my meal. Had that with the milk for my pump break.

The pasta salad however, was to die for. Very nice. Cherries are always a good treat as are my beloved Andes Mints. The Doc Browns Cream Soda was a surprise, but enjoyed very much.

The one disappointment was the pumpkin cheesecake. It was too heavy and the flavor was funny to me. I bet you thoroughly enjoyed yours however.

Sat Night:
Couldn't decide where to start with dinner, it was all so yummy, so I ended up eating it all at my pump break. Delicious salad which the only thing that could have made it better was a bigger bowl. Grilled potatoes and Bill's special smoked chicken wings - superb.

I did manage to save the fruit for a snack at 3:00 A.M.

All in all, a weekend of good fare.

Picnic food

Perfect dinner since I had to eat a bit late due to issues at work. PB&J with the crusts trimmed off (I miss the heart shapes from last weeks sandwiches.) In addition, I had chips, cherries, and milk. I still have carrots and cottage cheese for a nice little snack later.

Hearts of love

Ok, had a rough day (night actually) at work last night. Didn't get to eat dinner, so was starved by the time I got home this morning. Loving hubby had french toast ready and waiting (had to nurse the velocirapters first). Put the strawberries from my dinner on the french toast which made it an extra yummy treat.

Despite the bad night, I did get a chance to pump at which time I ate my pork chop (or was it steak?) Oh wait, it had to be a pork chop, there wasn't any A-1 in my bag. ;) It was very yummy as was the cornbread and milk.

Tonight I had a salad with goat cheese, tomatoes, croutons, and olives (yep, I took the container and dumped 'em on the salad.) It was quite delicious. I had this during my pump break, along with the milk and the super delicious apple dessert that Angelica made. I am such a lucky girl.

Later on I actually took a dinner break. For this I had fruit cocktail, carrots, an Andes mint, and two super wonderful little heart shaped sandwiches. Everyone in the break room ooh'd and ahh'd and claimed my hubby must love me very much. Yay! I love him too.

That's it for the weekend food blog. See you all next week.

My kingdom for a fork, or a steak...

Ok, long time, no blog. I'll have to post the same comment on my other blog.

We'll start with today and work our way back through this weekend - any further would just be silly to try and remember.

Tonights dinner started off with a wonderful porkchop, grilled just right - or so I thought. After conferring with the hubby, it has come to my attention that it was a steak, and that's why I had A-1 in my lunch bag too. I'm a little concerned, but so not sick so far. Dinner continued with a lovely salad which had goat cheese and sundried tomatoes - yum, yum. For dessert there were raspberries with whip cream, jellie bellies, and my favorite little Andes mint. Oh yeah, I also had milk which I maintain is just wrong to be drinking when you're pumping. It was appreciated just the same.

Last night I had the most fabulous salad. I think it rates as one of the top 3 I've had in my life, it was just that good. There were baby greens, salami, fresh mozarella, olives, and more. It was just so fresh, and the flavors blended perfectly, just the right proportions. The only thing that could have made it better was a fork to eat it with. ;) The also rans last night were fruit cocktail, carrots with bleu cheese, and a brownie made to the correct thickness (thanks to Angelica for figuring that one out). All good.

Finally, Friday nights fare was highlighted by a roast beef and avocado sandwich from Subway. Quite delicious. I also had a grape soda, salt and vinegar chips, and a couple other things which I'm sorry to say I can't recollect at this moment in time.

Thank you, thank you, thank you hubby for another wonderful weekend of dinners (and the many weeks of dinners at home.)

Salad Packs, good in a pinch

Tonight's dinner featured a premade salad pack carefully disguised as a regular salad. To give it it's due, it was pretty good. However, the salads my hubby makes are much better. Dinner also sported cherry tomatoes (love the squirt), snap peas, splat crackers (goldfish crackers in a splat shape), cherry pie, milk, and a grape soda. Mostly healthy with just enough snack to quench the crave.

Last nights dinner should be given it's proper kudos. I had a BBQ t-bone steak, grilled potatoes, and some miscellaneous other items. The other nurses in the break room with me were raving over my dinner just by the smell alone, and yes, it was that good. Oh yeah, the hubby had enough foresight to pack some A-1 to go with the steak, the steak was so good on it's own that it didn't need it, and it was big enough to last me for dinner as well as for a snack later. Yummmmm.
